TRUTH IS ABSURD Years ago I began creating ridiculous, surreal quotes, attributing them to the most ludicrous pseudonym I could imagine, Taz Mopula. The joke backfired. Before long Taz had a devoted, international following. 

Taz quotes evolved from mere amusement to obsession. Increasingly I explored the bond between truth and absurdity – crafting statements that were simultaneously true & untrue, funny & tragic, essential & impossible.

 These original quotes, organized by category, represent the apex of my 10-year love affair with this rarified art form. The Taz Mopula soubriquet is now long gone, allowing the quotes to speak for themselves, and me.​
